x Hi, I’m Netta. This desktop is a pretty good summary of my brain. Organized enough to find things. Curious enough to keep opening new windows.

A note about Netta
I’m a design leader with more than 20 years of experience building products, leading teams, and growing organizations.

Along the way I’ve been lucky enough to work with companies like Airbnb, Etsy, and Square. I later stepped into the founder seat with Domingo, where I discovered what it means to build not just a product, but an entire business.

Whether I’m leading a team, writing software, or making skincare, the work has always been driven by curiosity. And it began early.

As a kid, that meant carrying around a sketchbook and trying to recreate anything that caught my eye. Over time, drawing turned into designing interfaces, leading teams, starting companies, formulating skincare, and, eventually, building software.

Looking back, the medium has changed far more than the motivation. I’ve always been happiest making thoughtful things that help people in some way.

Founding Domingo taught me that the work I love isn’t tied to a particular industry. It’s the process of building something from nothing, learning relentlessly, and caring deeply about the people on the other side.

Building Matta reminded me just how much I enjoy making software. More importantly, it reinforced something that’s been true all along: I’m happiest when I’m learning, making, and sharing what I discover along the way.

Special thanks
This site began with the wonderful itiOS template by Shye (Itinerae), whose work provided the foundation for the desktop experience. From there, I extensively customized the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, rebuilt the responsive layout, added new windows and interactions, integrated JS Paint, and generally made it my own.

Additional thanks to the creators of 98.css for inspiration, JS Paint for the classic Paint experience, Pixel Art Icons, the custom scrollbar, and the W95FA typeface.

  • I've always liked making things.

Some became companies. Some became apps. Some became websites. Some were experiments that quietly taught me something. They all represent a different season of my life, and I'm grateful for every one of them.

  • How I approach the work

I’ve spent more than twenty years designing products, building teams, and leading organizations. Along the way, I’ve found myself returning to the same ideas again and again.

These aren’t hard rules or a fixed framework. They’re principles that shape how I understand problems, make decisions, lead teams, and evaluate good work.

Curiosity is usually where I begin. I follow questions across disciplines, look for patterns, and bring what I learn back into the work.

If you’re considering working with me, this is probably the quickest way to understand how I think.
